A date window sits at the unconventional 4:30 driver’s position, a signature that Longines does to certain line of watches in the 60s & 70s. Powering the watch is Longines’ in house high-beat Cal. 431 movement, notable for its impressive frequency of 36,000 vibrations per hour (10 beats per second) and its instantaneous date change at midnight, both hallmarks of the brand’s technical prowess during the era.
