Normale. With its straight, robust lugs and squared dial aperture, it carries a distinctly industrial presence and yet the execution is anything but rough. Much like the Tank Normale, the entire case is finely brushed, a detail that elevates its understated charm. Slightly smaller in dimension than the original, it wears beautifully on a woman’s wrist and equally well on a gentleman who appreciates refined design in a smaller watch. Personally, I’ve always leaned toward smaller watches, and I believe they’re making a return to form just as they did in the 1940s.
